What We Don’t Take
Naturally, we do have a few items that we simply can’t accept. The big one to note is that we don’t accept ANY hazardous waste. The list of items we can’t take includes, but is not limited to:
We reserve the right to refuse to collect any waste. We will not put ourselves, our contractors, or the environment in danger by collecting wastes we are not qualified to handle.
Dog Sh*t Volcano Policy
At Junc Junction, we take pride in providing exceptional junk hauling services. Early on in the business, our founders experienced a particularly disgusting job where a house was completely covered in dog feces. Since then, we’ve used the term “Dog Sh*t Volcano” to describe such extreme conditions. To ensure the safety and well-being of our team, we have established the following policy.
Policy
- Health and Safety First: Our contractors assess job site conditions upon arrival. If the site is found to be unsanitary, hazardous, or poses a health risk, the contractor has the right to refuse service.
- Unsanitary Conditions: Conditions include, but are not limited to, excessive animal waste, mold, hazardous chemicals, or any substances harmful to health.
- Unsafe Work Environments: Jobsites deemed structurally unstable, with electrical hazards, infestations, or other dangers, will be considered unsafe. Contractors will not proceed with any job that puts their safety at risk.
- Customer Notification: If a job is deemed a “Dog Sh*t Volcano,” the customer will be notified, and an explanation will be provided.
- Rescheduling and Refunds: If a job is deemed a Dog Shit Volcano (DSV), the following options will be available:
Rescheduling: The job can be rescheduled at no additional cost once the conditions have been appropriately addressed. If the rescheduled job fails again due to the same unsanitary or unsafe conditions, the customer will forfeit the full payment.
Refund: Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel the service and receive a 50% refund. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to contact@juncjunction.com within 14 days of the halted job. - No Additional Fees: There will be no additional fees for the initial assessment if the job is refused due to unsanitary or unsafe conditions.
- Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the job site is reasonably clean and safe prior to our arrival.
